Very tasty curries and friendly owners! Naan bread always fresh from the oven and all great spice. My favorite: kebab roll?

Very bland boring food. Also too expensive for what you get compared to other restaurants in Giessen. Maybe okay if you don't know real Indian food but otherwise not recommended. There is simply a lack of the right spices.

It took a long time for the food to arrive, but it tasted very tasty.

Have been here four times in total with my friends and my friends got stomach upsets and diarrhea. I only have a slight stomach ache. The food doesn't seem fresh, the meat tastes relatively dry, although it should be juicy in sauce, and once there was even hair in the food. Definitely not recommended, which is a shame as it seems to be the only Pakistani-Indian restaurant in Giessen :( I would rather cook myself at home than throw money out the window for bad food.

If you look at the reviews of Red Chillies, opinions differ: everything from 2 to 5 stars is included. As I am a staunch regular here, I want to rank myself with four stars. In my opinion, the store has actually found a niche in the market, the enthusiastic reactions such as "finally no kebab" can be understood. The architectural ambience is of course largely predetermined: after a few steps you open a glass door inside a huge shop window, and you basically sit on the presentation plate at the tables; if you meet secretly or like a cozy atmosphere, you are wrong here. Only recently has the room been better insulated thanks to new windows. Whether it can now be heated better remains to be seen when it is cold outside. In the past you could keep your jacket on while eating. Because the door often opens and closes: especially at lunchtime, I have often observed that all the seats were occupied. The food can be eaten on site or packed in styrofoam bowls, the portions are sufficient, see also my photos. There is plenty of choice for both meat lovers and vegetarians. The Red Chillies is a classic quick snack: the dishes are fully cooked and are ready in a display in metal bowls, after selection they are heated in microwave devices. The upside is that you can see what you can eat and that it goes really quickly. There is also rice. In addition to the main courses, there are also starters such as samosas and desserts. So far, everything has always tasted very good to me, the quality was higher for fast food and I'll be happy to come back. I think the prices are reasonable because everything is freshly cooked here on a daily basis. I find the service really convincing: the owner and his staff go to great lengths to ask questions and are interested in what you like and what you don't like. In this way, the map is adjusted several times without confusion. I can't complain about slow service. What is a bit strange the first time: here it is not the guest who rings the bell for the porter, but the waitress rings a bell when the meal is ready and the guest is not looking. What could be better? In the past, there was also two half dishes on a plate and the rice in the middle for those with a weak decision. Unfortunately, that has been abolished. I would have liked to have made it possible to look into the kitchen during the complete renovation of the shop (there was previously a showroom for natural mattresses). I think this effect would have made the icing on the cake. The actual preparation area is not visible, the dishes are only brought to the front when they are ready. But there are still options for the 5th star.

Really authentic Indian food, which you would not expect in a location in a German city. Very tasty and very nice service.

Price / performance perfectly fine. Quite cheap for an Indian / Pakistani restaurant, lots of dishes under 10 €. The chicken curry and garlic naan were delicious. Qualitatively and also from the ambience rather for the quick, uncomplicated meal in between.

I am addicted to the Palak Paneer. Nowhere does it taste better than in Red Chillies. Fair prices and delicious food!

Good food at a fair Price. But if you come to early they may not have want you want because they start the oven when the store opens not an hour before like any normal restaurant. If you come to late they may run out of what you want. But all in all its good food just poor management.

Delicious food. Price-performance ratio fits here! Was there often. A star deduction because of the location (just a few tables, no toilets, no service) You shouldn't expect fancy Micki here. Doesn't bother me personally, because it is clean in itself, the food is good and the bar is very friendly. Also ideal for to-go food.

Great food, staff friendly, both in terms of quality and quantity normal value for money. The food is also ready very quickly. Only the atmosphere / comfort could be criticized, you shouldn't expect a restaurant here. The tables etc. would be most comparable to a medium-sized kebab stall.

You can definitely recommend this place, as already emerges from the previous reviews. The food is delicious and you get large portions.

Cheap Indian Pakistani fast food restaurant. Almost all dishes under ten euros. Selection between vegetarian, chicken, lamb. Friendly staff. We have been here many times, we like it. What I do not like: to clean the tables they are sprayed with glass cleaner and it is wiped with a rag. The cloth is placed on a radiator without further cleaning and used again and again. At this point I have a different idea of ​​hygiene. The toilet, you have to go to a restaurant next door, often not clean. For point deduction.

Good place to get some indian pakistani food. Centrally located as it is near Marktplatz bus station and a few minutes walk to Rathaus.

You're not welcome here. No greeting, ask three times that the table should be cleaned. Get up again five times and shout, then behind the counter your food will be slapped lovelessly on a plate. Not cheap for "zero service" either. Modern Turkish grill restos offer a lot more. The food itself might be okay if everything else would have been right.

One of the best restaurant with tastiest Desi food, run by chefs from Indian subcontinent. It is halal. Prices are not much. I have tried naan and chicken kadai, it was nice. Must try if you visit Giessen.

I would better say it as a fast food Indian Restaurant with a different varieties of Indian Recipe. Located central with fair price. Chicken tandoori was delicious but pakora was not good. Quality is ok.
